An update I’m sure many of you will cheer for, I have begun conversion from RPG Maker VX Ace to MV..this conversion process is slow going but I will lay out the numerious changes that will occur in the version 1.1.0 update:
Many maps will not look like they did in the previous version. This is due to the tilesets being too small and upsizing them won’t work.(I tried…;_;)
Paralax maps that have been completed will remain and will continue to be added.
The previously announced mini-games Triple Triad and Space Invaders will NOT be in this version unless someone makes an MV version of one or both of them before the 1.1.0 release.
The friendship system may function very differently from the VX Ace version.(I’m still tinkering with the MV version of this script to learn how it ticks.)
The Time and Date system should work as it did in the VX Ace version but unlike the VX Ace version, will not be hidable.
I’ve gone back to using Yanfly’s combat system for the MV version but unlike the VX Ace version of his combat system, this one runs on true ATB much like Final Fantasy: Record Keepers.(If you love playing that game, then you’ll fall in love with the combat system I’m working with.)
The Harmony Magic system is still in the air, if yanfly releases a dual-skill addon for his combat system, you can bet it’ll be added to the next version or future versions. (Until then, I’ll be studying his new MV version, it clearly has a lot more features than its VX Ace counterpart and it may very well have a mechanic that allows me to create dual-skill attacks.)
Lastly and most importantly, I need a offical version of this maker in order to make sure its up-to-date and works properly. Take this statement as you will. >.>
HOWEVER!
If someone wishes to purchase a copy of RPG Maker MV as a gift for me on steam, I will be forever greatful! Not to meation this version can’t exactly port games into exe format properly.
