Sakura Toyoguchi grew up in Kissaki, Shin'ō, with her mother, Ayako, and older sister, Hikari. Life at home was far from happy. Her mother kept bringing new husbands into the house, always chasing money and luxury more than family. Because of this, kids at school cruelly bullied Sakura, calling her names and making her feel unwanted. Heck, a certain group of girls took the harassment to a vicious level; they've been pushing her around, humiliating her daily, and making school feel like a living hell. Every morning, Sakura woke up dreading the day ahead of her, sometimes wishing she didn’t have to face it at all.

At home, things were just as difficult. Her latest stepfather made her deeply uncomfortable with his behavior, yet her mother seemed too focused on being rich to even notice or care. The only light in Sakura’s life was her big sister Hikari, who always showed her kindness and love. Hikari even gave her a cute mask as a gift, one that Sakura still wears to this day as a symbol of that bond.

One day, the bullying at school pushed Sakura past her breaking point. In a moment of overwhelming fear and anger, her dormant Meta Gene awakened for the first time. Uncontrollable Fairy-type energy surged out of her, accidentally sending her tormentors flying and injuring them badly (they were hospitalized, but they weren't dead). It was never her intention to hurt anyone that way, but word spread quickly. Horrified, her parents contacted Hexcorp Industries instead of protecting her.

Hikari begged them not to, but Ayako refused to keep a “Bio-Monster” in her home. As the Hexcorp Troopers closed in, Hikari grabbed Sakura, packed everything she could, and the two sisters fled on Hikari’s bike. Sakura escaped capture that day with her sister, but their troubles were only beginning.

The sisters became runaways, moving from city to city across the Shin'ō region, with no comfort anywhere whatsoever. They eventually ended up in Kotobuki, the bustling modern city, where they took shelter in an alleyway and struggled to survive on the streets. Hunger, fear, and exhaustion wore them down. Hikari, desperate to protect and feed her little sister, started taking risky jobs with a shady local group known as the Skull Gang.

One night, after Hikari came back badly hurt from one of those jobs, Sakura stepped in to defend her using her Fairy powers. Over time, the leader of the Skull Gang, a charismatic weasel who called himself "Guzma", noticed Sakura’s abilities. He manipulated her kindness and naivety, promising protection and a way to help her sister if she used her powers for the gang’s “business.”

Tragedy struck when a rival group ambushed them during an escape attempt. Hikari was captured, and Guzma used Sakura’s desperation against her, forcing her deeper into dangerous situations. When Hexcorp eventually caught up, Guzma, viewing Sakura as a liability, betrayed her, tricking her into a trap that exposed her to a dangerous purple chemical called the R Serum. The serum caused her to lose control completely. In that rampage, Sakura accidentally killed the one person she loved most… her sister, Hikari Toyoguchi.

Heartbroken and devastated, Sakura was captured by the Hexcorp Troopers and taken to their infamous Akuma Shima prison island. There, she was trained harshly to weaponize her Fairy-type powers, often with the unwilling help of another young MetaMobian prisoner, Takeshi Ueda, who was forced to create holographic targets for every prisoner, including Sakura.

Later, the mysterious overlord of Hexcorp, Neo, made Sakura recount her painful story. In exchange, he offered her a chance at revenge against Guzma, whom he also captured. Blinded by grief and anger, Sakura accepted. But when she tried to strike, her powers accidentally blasted open a hole in the facility, allowing several MetaMobians, including Takeshi, to escape.

Guzma tried to flee by boat, with Sakura in pursuit. With some chaotic help from the Troopers, she caught up to him in Sōkyō. She finally confronted (and killed) the man who had manipulated and betrayed her, but that was just the beginning.

Now free but deeply scarred, Sakura has turned her rage toward the criminal underworld that preys on the vulnerable, especially those who exploit children and tear families apart. She vows to stop anyone like Guzma from hurting others the way she and Hikari were hurt. However, Hexcorp’s propaganda has painted her as a serial killer murdering innocent people, stirring up fear and anti-MetaMobian protests across the city. If Spider-Wolf were to encounter her, he would face this Karmic Moment: Temperance or Malice?

😇Temperance: Spider-Wolf would redeem Sakura, teaching her self-control by working together to take down criminals the right way… subduing them instead of killing them outright.

👿Malice: Spider-Wolf would corrupt Sakura, molding her into a remorseless killer and unleashing her rage on anti-MetaMobian protestors… which will expand her list of targets and increase her bloodlust even more.
