Alright, so most people in our Discord who tightly know the AU know most of this stuff, but not everyone's in our Discord.

This will be covering most of, if not all general questions I can at least think of about the SF story.

Q: When is the game coming out?
A: No fucking clue. It comes out when it's ready. If it never sees the light of day, I'll most likely see to SF's finale being made into an animation.

I know this one isn't story-related but I wanted to answer it.

Q: Isn't this just Fire Dusttrust?
A: Yes and no. Scarlet Flare is BASED on Dusttrust, but is a complete retelling of the AU from beginning to end. Other than Underswap Sans killing monsters and gets strong, Dusttrust and SF have no major similarities other than being Undertale AUs.

I still call it Fire Dusttrust as an inside joke.

Q: What is the 'Scarlet Flare' part of the story.
A: The Scarlet Flare is a magic-fuelled parasite that latches onto the SOULs of monsters. Not willing to say any more since it's gonna be in external lore.

Q: Is Sans mad in this AU?
A: No. 100% not. Scarlet Flare, compared to other Dust AUs, throws away the 'remembering resets' plotline. Papyrus in the prologue is IMPLIED to MAYBE have had that happen to him, but due to the wording its up to interpretation.
Scarlet Flare is about Sans being constantly pushed to break his morals, and seeing how much something can break before its unfixable. He doesn't go insane.

Q: Where can I read the AU?
A: The AU's written story will be fully uploaded to my DeviantArt in due time. A lot of chapters are already on our Discord server, and they do tell the AU's story. However, they're missing little bits and pieces I wanna go back and sprinkle in.
If you want to see the definitive version of SF's written story, wait for the DeviantArt releases. If you just want to know the basic story events, read the version up on our Discord.
The story is just under 10,000 words at the moment I warn you, its a fairly hefty read.

Q: Are other characters important to the AU?
A: Alphys, Temmie, a mystery man and Napstaton all serve a role in Sans's story. Overall, Scarlet Flare utilises all of the main US!Cast except Asgore, as his story plays out the same way as a normal Swap!Genocide route.

Q: Does Sans win? / Does Chara win? / What happens to Sans during Phase 2-3?
A: Wait for the finale to be released.

I wouldn't expect anything major from the AU until 2022. I'm on break for the holiday season to work on one-offs for fun and to spend time with family.
