This isn't the September Devlog, although that is coming soon. This is just to let you know that the game may not come out for a while. A couple devlogs ago, I said this game would release on November/December if I stayed on my current schedule, unfortunately, I've been extremely busy doing other things and I have not had a lot of time to work on Ease Collection. I announced this game way too early and the hype for it has probably died down, but I am still planning on releasing it. If this game does not come out this year, I am going to stop posting release estimates, because all it does is just raise false hopes. Sorry about this, the game will release eventually. If you want Ease content, you can check out the Ease comic series that i'm doing on the side (10 of the 30 planned issues are already uploaded) or you can check out @MasterGames31
's Ifei series (which is an alternate universe of the Ease series, it also has a comic series). If you don't care about the Ease/Ifei universe and just want to play the game, I may release it in an early access state in December if the game isn't done and you can play the games that are currently finished. The game will be updated for every two games that are finished, although the only problem that I can think of is save data being lost in-between updates. I also posted all of the Ease legacy games on the Ease/Ifei website if you want to play them: https://sites.google.com/view/ease-and-ifei/games/ease, although keep in mind that they are extremely low quality.
Next up
Winston the Lizard concept (Yes, that's his name). This one is definitely going to be tweaked, I know it can be improved.
Experimenting with a trail effect
Ok, i'll start an Ease Game Jam. Its going to be running on Itch.io for a week. Unfortunately I don't know how to run it on Gamejolt, i tried. https://itch.io/jam/the-ease-collection-jam. Winning game goes in the collection.
Huggy: Ultimate Edition, a collab game between @MasterGames31
and me, is finished! This game takes place during the Ease comics and contains remakes of Huggy 1-2 using the Huggy 3 engine, Huggy 3, and three bonus level packs made with the Huggy 3 engine.
Another Ease 6 level sneakpeek
This is a special #ScreenshotSaturday for Ease Collection because I just did a MASSIVE art overhaul, hoping to overhaul the music and bosses next. My pixel art skills are slowly improving, and hopefully I can improve this even further.
Its been so long since I have shown actual gameplay footage or screenshots, so heres a "round" of the new Ease 2 prototype. The game has been redesigned to be more arcade-like, with enemies getting faster/firing projectiles faster every round.
The Spider
Alatus the Moth. Foreshadowing? Probably not, at least for a while. Some more might be coming in the next few weeks or so but don't expect much.
Here is a proper sneak peak of the Swamp level from Ease 1, this level is one of my personal favorites.
