Since making the monsters you recruit the same level they appear in fights is not possible, I instead opted for level up items.
Now when a higher level monster joins you, you will receive "Magite" to level it up!
For now it works for Lvl 2-5 monsters.

Hey! Long time no see! Wanted to hop in real quick to say I'm still working on the game, I've switched to doing a bit of the spritework. Work is keeping me busy, so I apologize if development slows down, I'm still trying to organize my time.
This is how the menus look btw, credits to Galv and RisingPhoenix.
There's still some minor things to adjust but I won't bother for the moment.
Here's a small update on the game.
I'm reworking and planning some rooms better. Hopefully I can get back to work soon.

I thought this one would take me longer but it didn't! I present to you: the bond system! Next update you can give gifts to your monsters to make them like you more! Once you're in good terms, you can form a bond and obtain stat bonuses and skills!

Hello! How are ya guys? Dropping a quick update on the game. Right now I'm working on the content for the next version which includes one new city mission and boss. It should be ready soon. In the meantime I leave you with this gif. Toodles!

This version is the most complete version of the game so far. It can be beaten and even has an ending.
That said it will still be updated later!
