Here is the thing. I came up with Chara's personality back then in 2019, after I finished writing for Facing Demons. It was supposed to be her better version. More charismatic, more mysterious, more darker, more tragic.

The idea behind Chara you already had seen in Facing Demons if you checked Chara. In different part of the story, her LV was jumping around as if it were linked to her mood. Now make it absolute and you will achieve TnT Chara.

She has a dark backstory. Much darker than her Facing Demons origin. It's fair to say she is the evil in the story, but it's not her own will. When her LV achieved 20, her moral couldn't find reasons to go on, while her Soul craved for absolute power. That's when her Self was divided into two parts - her Soul and her Self.

They are both Chara. But one of them is true to herself, trying to be good when the world is dark, and the other one - crazy megalomaniac who lost herself in the seek of the absolute power that can change the world and bring justice upon it.

Once Chara gained control over her body and positive emotions can safely hold other Chara passive. She goes by the name The First to not be associated with Chara and hide her identity in Resistance Camp. It's better that monsters won't know about and worry about her no longer...

That's why her LV always jumping. If she will loose control only for a moment, other Chara will take over her body. And only God knows what she will do with that power.

It was hard to come up with proper design. Back then I made common StoryShift Chara without thinking about unique style and personality I gave her. I didn't thought that this is not how self-scared human would look like.

In 2021 with Lomolom we decided to remake her design because all things we made for TnT was amazing, cool, plot-depending and then we have Chara who is just... Bruh.

Actually, I wasn't satisfied with this one as well. It was more close. For example, we changed Chara's hairstyle from something familiar to brand new, making her ponytail. It will make difference from default Chara which she is trying to hide in herself. But there were still red parts which made her too recognizable. And that's when I found this ragged outfit idea on Pinterest and said "Hey, let's do this!" and so we did this.

Chara's style is not about fashion or being "Chara". To be fair, if we look at her separately, it's hard to say she IS Chara. And that's the effect we were trying to achieve. She is different, she wants to be different. Only green color in her scheme can tell who is she at this point. Nothing was saved from Storyshift neither canonical Chara.

So... Did I say The First can lose control over her LV? When, do you think, this will happen?
