Hey everyone. It's almost been two weeks since this game released so I think now's about a good time to discuss my future plans & what comes next.
Updates...?
PUPPET THEATRE will probably get at least one more patch at some point to fix a few remaining minor issues. That being said, unless there's a major issue after that, it's likely going to be the last update this game gets. This release has been surprisingly pretty smooth (I've done far less bug fixes than I thought I would lol), in the end I'm just glad I didn't have to spend the past 2 weeks fixing thousands of issues. That being said, as I begin shifting my focus to future projects I don't really want to get bogged down with this game, so I'll have to end support for it fairly soon most likely. If there's any issues you know of, please let me know so I can hopefully address them in this upcoming patch.
A Sequel...?
I've seen just a couple people ask about this so I figure I may as well address it.
To put it simply: This game probably won't get a sequel. I guess it's technically not impossible, but I'd only really do it in the event the game performs exceptionally well. The reality is, making a COMPLETELY FREE FANGAME the scale of Puppet Theatre for 3 years is a huge time investment, and while I'm really glad I finished it for my own personal closure, I'm honestly just not seeing the numbers with this game to really justify making more. That's not even to say the game performed horribly or anything, it still did really well for my standards, it's just not enough to justify spending another 3 whole years on a fan project of all things, yknow? I'm kind of at a point where I want to start making games that can (hopefully) actually build up a career, and it's pretty clear that FNAF fangames aren't gonna get me there. Aside from that, I'm honestly not even much of a FNAF fan anymore, so this is probably the best anyways.
In any case, I'm still very happy with how this game turned out, and honestly, I think this games story and ending work better without a continuation anyway, so I'm not bothered by the idea of not making a sequel. I'm just very grateful that so many people have enjoyed the game and have even recommended it to others, so thank you guys for all the support. It's been really cool seeing this game partially spread by word of mouth, and it's reached a lot of people who I wouldn't even have expected to play the game necessarily, so that's a pleasant surprise.
The Next Game
While I'm probably done with my own FNAF projects, I'm still going to continue with game development since it's my favorite hobby of all time. Those of you who've beaten the game should already know what I'm talking about, but for those of you that are unaware, my next project is a game called NEVERENDING, an RPG inspired by the likes of Deltarune, Omori, The Desolate Hope, and even Mother Horse Eyes (if you know what that is).

This game is probably going to end up being my focus for the next while, and assuming all goes well I'm hoping to release a free demo sometime in 2026, so you guys can all look forward to that. Early development has already started, and I'm really liking the direction things are going. I think if you liked the story of PUPPET THEATRE, you'll really like the story of this next game. Even this early in development, I already think it's far more interesting.
More news on this game will come eventually. I plan on making a proper game page for this next project at some point, but in the meantime I'll probably just post updates here. I know this next game isn't FNAF, and some of you guys might not be interested because of that, but I hope you'll stick around because I think I can make something really cool with this next project :)

By the way- This is the little teaser for the game included in the extras menu if you haven't seen it already.
Anyways, that's all for now, thank you to everyone that's played the game over the past 2 weeks.
