Solenars Edge Rebirth started as a short story back in high school as part of a 5th period writing project. It was then called Solenars Edge. When I graduated from the school, I wasn’t allowed to take what I had wrote with me so I was forced to leave the story behind. A couple years later I went on a walk in the woods and everything about the story came back to me. I started writing it down and introducing new characters and filling in the gaps. Eventually chapter 1 was made. For awhile it seemed everything was going good until a huge data corruption forced me to lose everything. I had given up. That was until a year later I was able to salvage some of my data and start almost fresh and I spent the next couple of years piecing the remaining part of the game together in an amazing way. When I came to publish on steam’s green light around the same year and month undertale came out. My game was jeered and booed. I pulled it from greenlight a month later and spent some time making side games to add to the game’s lore. I remade Solenars Edge into Solenars Edge 2.0. I tried for greenlight again and unfortunately I got the same results. I didn’t give up. I spent the next few months remaking the game into what is now Solenars Edge Rebirth. Also thanks to Steam Direct, I was able to get my game on the platform after so long. It also didn’t stop me from updating the game after it’s release. So to all those reading this, I hope you enjoy my game. There won’t be any future updates to it.
