backstory (draft): the year is 1995 a year after sonic and knuckles was made. a being of darkness that was wanting fame. he found an older version of sonics design from those newspapers and he took the form and when someone was playing a sonic 1 game he as in Mabel zone. then... sonic was gone in the game. no one remembered sonic. soul x took his place nobody new. tails new but he died by his face being burned off and was very bloody. and soul x finished him.
