War facts for nerds and me for some reason: If you thought the Spanish Civil War was already bad, think again. Those factions had faction in them. The Republicans were made up of Liberals, Loyalists, Communists, Socialists, Anarchists, and seperatists, while the Nationalists (Franco's forces) where the Conservatives, the Army, Catholic Church, Monarchists, and Facists. This war was because Franco was a right-winged person who was very dislikefull of how there was to much parties in Spain and how the Catholic Church got its power limited and religious symbols and schools were banned, so Franco, along side other generals, started a coup in Madrid, which failed and started a civil war. It ended with the Nationalists winning btw.
