-They often annoy a particular "friend" of theirs who are much more serious in comparison, acting as the straight man when both of them are around and having to put up with their antics, although this gets to a point where they start enraging them (Squidward and Pear).
-Both are trained in a particular martial art (Karate and Ninjutsu), and in one instance Orange even learned karate.
-They like to laugh. A lot. And for whatever reason, this is emphazised many times in their series.
