The 1.0 version of squid will release sometime hopefully very soon! This version is going to include some very major changes. The biggest visual changes being Squid now having animation! RIP for the T-Pose, it will not be missed. Along with that the main menu has also been changed. Now you're locked in a chair and control the menu using a TV with Squid watching in the background. Creepy.. That is not all though! 1.0 we've converted the entire game from GameMaker Studio 1.4 over to GameMaker Studio 2.3! This allowed for Squidward to finally get some long overdue animation as well as some other quality of life changes! The maze prefabs are now buffer based, meaning that the map will generate faster and you'll see much less stuttering during game play. This also means however that all of the maps for previous versions will no longer work, however the prefab editor still saves in the old format. So if you ever made any custom prefabs they will need to be re-exported, but they should load fine. This update all of the default prefabs have been remade as well with a focus on no dead-ends and plentiful clarinet parts. Meaning that you will never walk into an irrecoverable dead-end again, and every prefab generates (on average) with one or more clarinet parts! This still is not all of the changes in this update, there will be many new major features as well. But I'll save those for later ;)

Running and Orb of Confusion
I wanted to make more ways to escape Squid's wrath, so I've come up with two new additions: a Running mechanic, and the Orb of Confusion. I won't go into much detail on these yet, but they will be released next update soon!
A new contestant has appeared.
GameJolt API coming soon!
GameJolt API is being integrated into Squid! This means there will be scoreboards and other cool new features! It's also worth noting that signing in will be completely optional, meaning offline play is still allowed if desired.
