Stage 3 To-do

Alright, I'm back from my break and it was exhausting.
I feel very excited to get back to working on this game and here are the things that I'll be focusing on for this stage:

  • Bug fixes

  • Redoing the character controller

  • Adding missing tiles

  • Decorative props

  • Level selector

  • Visual effects for the player

I'll also take this opportunity to talk a little about the future of this game and my projects.

I feel like I've taken the wrong path and I may have committed to the idea of this game too much, what I mean is that I should've made a public prototype before really investing a lot of time into this game. Now that I've gotten this far with this game, I'm gonna keep going until I release a public demo and that is what will determine the fate of this project.

As for my future projects, I want to start each project with a public prototype to see if a game would actually be fun to the players so that I don't "waste" time on creating something that isn't worth it.
I've noticed that I'm quite happy working on pretty much anything I come up with, so scrapping a project doesn't sound too bad, as long as I can keep working on something of my own.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
