Species of (usually) one-eyed aliens who are hell-bent on conquering the universe only to be faced by our group of heroes, double as both a species and a character, and even have one lil' member of their species who are much more heroic then the rest and even aid the heroes (Gooey and Jarro).
It's basically Starro vs Zero but it avoids a few of the flaws plus you still technically get Zero and Zero² (they're, surprisingly, likely different characters) in there along with the rest of the Dark Matter mfs, so it could make for a cool army battle (especially since Starro himself is hard to even call a proper character outside of maybe a few exceptions, so you could have all of the other Starros thrown into the mix two)
