The moon hung high in the sky like a silver sentinel, and the castle gardens slept beneath its light. The fountains whispered ancient songs while night-blooming flowers perfumed the air with subtle magic.
Princess Noelia, her ears delicately pointed and her gaze ever curious, walked in silence, wrapped in a silver cloak that barely concealed her ceremonial dress.. (Dress which Noelia was forced to wear) She had slipped away quietly from the throne hall, where her parents are talking with counselors.
“Princess,” said a firm voice, followed by the soft clink of metal.
Noelia turned. There she was. Undyne, captain of the Royal Guard. Her dark armor shimmered in the moonlight. She held her spear like it was an extension of herself—always alert, always imposing.
“I knew you'd come here,” Undyne continued, stepping forward with heavy but controlled strides. “Whenever you're forced to listen to the counselors… you run to the stars.”
Noelia lowered her gaze, smiling with a mix of guilt and defiance.
“Maybe I do… because I’d rather speak to someone who doesn’t hide her true voice. Like you.”
Undyne frowned—not out of irritation, but to suppress a smile.
“My duty is to protect you, princess. Even from yourself.”
“And what if what I want… is to escape from what everyone expects of me?” Noelia asked softly, stepping a little closer.
Undyne lowered her spear, resting it against the ground. For a moment, she ceased to be the unstoppable warrior and became something… more human.
“Then I’ll protect you from that too, if that’s what you need.”
Silence settled between them. Noelia raised a trembling hand and gently touched the breastplate of Undyne’s armor. A risky gesture. An intimate one.
“Thank you, my knight,” she whispered.
Undyne took a deep breath. Her spear glowed faintly with a bluish magic.
“Always, my princess.”
(P.S: Undyne is not being shipped with Noelia, just being protective over her princess and friend Noelia)
(P.P.S: This was all for today, I hope you have a good day/night)
