Previously…

As Bowser picked up Mario they both went to find Luigi and possibly an exit…somewhere…

And now…the continuation of chapter 7: “The cure”

As Bowser walked with Mario in his arms he looked at him like he’s holding a child. Mario returned Bowser’s gaze confused.

Bowser: “Heh…your short…kinda remind me holding Jr like this.” *He laughed*

Mario: “Heyyyyy! You jerk!…” *He said playfully while nudging his arm in a playful manner*

Bowser: “Can’t help it you know? Shortie.” *He teased*

Mario: “Hmph!… *He sighed* well…I just hope we find my bro and get outta this nightmare…” *He said both worryingly and annoyed by Bowser’s comment of being short*

Bowser: “I get it…speaking of the devil…look..” *He points at Luigi sitting by himself*

Mario: “Eh-? Luigi!” *He happily exclaimed*

Luigi heard Mario’s voice then stood up looking around.

Luigi: “Mario??” *He confusingly called*

Mario: “Luigiiiii!! Up here!” *He waved his arms showing where he is*

Luigi: “MARIO!! Your okay!..w-wait…who’s holding you?..” *He exclaimed happily then confusingly*

Mario: “Lets just say…an ol’ pal joined us on our journey…” *He said calmly*

Bowser emerged from the shadows and revealed himself to Luigi. Luigi was shocked and surprised. He knew it had to be the king himself he just couldn’t get the image correctly.

Luigi: “B…Bowser..? How are you……here…?” *He asked in a shocked voice*

Bowser: “Long story..I’m not explaining everything. Anyway greenie…I had a long chat with Mario and notified there is an exit here…I just sorta forgot where it was…” *He answered sarcastically and in a disappointed tone to himself*

Luigi: “Ah…I…see…” *He said upsettingly*

Mario: “Well… *He hops off Bowser’s hand* We should find anything to help us get outta here…but what…?” *He said while thinking of some strategies*

Bowser: “Hm…I have none than burning this place down or breaking stuff…” *He said casually like it’s normal*

Mario: “Erm…uh…too risky Bowser…uhm…oh what the heck…this place is a maze!…We’ll never get ou— *he interrupted himself seeing a giant gaping hole in the wall* B-Bowser?…I— did- did you…did that?…” *He asked*

Bowser: *He nod ‘yes’*

Mario: *He sighed* “Oh Bowser…well…let’s explore…cmon Luigi!” *He exclaimed*

Luigi: “Huh? Oh! Coming bro!” *He said in a little panicky voice*

And so the trio went through the hole Bowser made and explored more rooms and such. But one room caught Bowser’s attention.

Bowser: “Jackpot…” *He said to himself*

Mario: *Stopped walking and went to Bowser* “What caught your eye big guy?” *He asked*

Luigi: *Confused and walked towards them*

Bowser: “Hmm…hey greenie sit over there for a bit me and Mario have to check this room. Could be dangerous for you.” *He lied perfectly knowing Luigi is easily scared*

Luigi: “O-Okay…” *He said in a scared voice*

Bowser grabbed Mario’s hand and brought him inside the room. In the room was the ‘rarest cure’ Kamek told Bowser about. This potion-like patterned mushroom had all kinds of colors swirled and mixed like a lava lamp.

Mario: “Whoa…it’s…beautiful…I never seen…a mushroom like this…w-will this cure me Bowser…? A-as Kamek described right?” *He asked while admiring the mushroom’s colors*

Bowser: “Yes. I believe he also said he made duplicates just in case this mushroom never exist again..he’s at the castle.” *He answered with confidence*

Mario: “O-okay… here’s goes nothing… *He takes a bite of the mushroom and feels better. Way better than before.* Mmm~…taste like…candy! *He happily exclaimed* I…I feel…better…but different as well?..” *He questioned*

Bowser: “Could be side effects?” *He shrugged*

Mario: “Hm…let me try something… *He held his hand out and a dark fireball appeared with a dark-purplish glow. Like a phantom..* w-whoa…! I…I…have no clue this…contains new powers…my normal fire was kinda…lacking a bit in ‘firepower’ hehe. This is so cool! Thank you Bowser..I owe you…” *He said in the most cheerfully voice he never been this happy and thankful for his gratitude.*

Bowser: *He laughed* “Heh…you don’t gotta owe me nothin’ now…let’s see what this can do..” *He said confidently*

Mario: “Hmm…okay!…” *He exclaimed excitedly*

As Mario test his new found strength and power he throws the fireball causing a GINORMOUS explosion creating a big hole through multiple already explored rooms. Bowser and Mario looked at each other and started laughing. Bowser is quite surprised by this. While Mario is thrilled. He puts the mushroom in his pocket to save for later. Luigi jolted by the explosion and went to check on the two but met with confusion.

Luigi: “WHAT WAS THAT SOU— *He paused* Mama mia what happened here!? Are you okay? Are you hurt?! Are yo—“ *He gets interrupted by Mario*

Mario: *He giggled a bit* “S-Sorry for startling you bro we’re fine!” *He said cheerfully*

Bowser looked pleased with himself but then turned his head away.

Luigi: “O…Okay…please don’t scare me like that…” *He said in a scared tone*

Mario: “You worry too much we’re okay..now please wait for us. We’ll be out..just be patient.” *He demanded in a calm way*

Luigi: “Alright…” *He walked out the room leaving Bowser and Mario alone*

Bowser looks back at Mario then thought of something…

Bowser: “Hey Mario. Try something with that new flame of yours..maybe you can breathe fire like I can.” *He suggested*

Mario: “I…never thought of that..nor I knew how…” *He thought to himself*

Bowser: “It’s light work. All you gotta do is inhale and let all the fury out. Copy me.” *He demanded*

Mario: “Okie-Dokie!” *He happily accepted*

As Bowser teaches Mario how to breathe fire…Mario had some difficulties. But as he practiced as Bowser showed him…He succeeded! He can now breathe fire. Mario is amazed and very surprised. He looked at Bowser with joy and excitement. Bowser returned his gaze and chuckled a bit.

Mario: “T…That was fun! *He exclaimed happily* although…my flame is…well…u-uhhh..haha…h-huge than yours to say the least I-I mean look.” *He giggled as he points to the same spot where he caused a giant hole in the wall*

Bowser: “Holy….— Wow that IS big…” *He exclaimed with surprise*

Mario: *He laughed* “W-Well…we should get going..still I insist of owing you SOMETHING anything!” *He insisted*

Bowser: “Hmm…like I said you don’t have to. Later maybe. Now…let’s go..” *He said in a odd relaxed tone*

Mario: “Awh…okay..” *He replied*

As they exited the room Luigi heard their voices and footsteps then stood up looking very annoyed at Mario.

Luigi: “WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG?!” *He yelled angrily*

Mario: “E-Eep!…Not so loud brother geez…I’m sorry you had to wait…” *He apologized in a upset tone*

Luigi: *He sighed* “It’s okay…”

Mario: “Well…let’s-a-go you two!” *He happily exclaimed*

Bowser: “Heh..calm down Mario…we’re coming lead the way” *He scoffed*

Luigi: “O-okie dokie” [in mind: ‘why is he acting…cheerful all the sudden…? I shouldn’t ask questions…it’s Mario after all…heh..’]

As the trio ventured off in the depths of this dark facility. They all had one goal in mind. Find an exit and get home…but as they walked deeper and deeper…it’s nearly impossible. But them? They had faith that they will get out. One way or another.
