Previously…

As Luigi continued walking and carrying his dear brother…he kept thinking of the old times…

And now the continuation of chapter 6: “Separation sanity”

Luigi walked endlessly in this dark abyss hallway nearly for 2 hours and is starting to get tired. He sets Mario down to find a nearby blanket like before and places it on his brother and placed a half torn of a…pillow like shape under his head. He proceeds to sit down next to him.

Luigi: *He sighed* “Mama mia…this is taking forever…I miss everybody…I just wanna go home…” *He said to himself*

Mario: “L….u…i…gi….” *He said in a weaken voice*

Luigi: “Eh-? Mario..I told you to sleep..or do you need the inhaler…?” *He confusingly askdd*

Mario: “Hun…..gry……..thir…sty……h-haven’t…..ate…..” *He weakly responded*

Luigi: [in mind: ‘He…haven’t eaten anything?!…T-This is bad…’] “U-Uhm…I don’t know if there’s food here bro…” *He said in a trembling voice utterly scared*

Mario: “S…o….hun…gry…n…ee…d…anything…..” *He quietly said*

Luigi: “…I…I’ll see what I can find bro…s-stay here..I’ll be back.” *He said while rubbing his head*

As Luigi got up to find any food Mario stares at nothing starving to death…his hunger is making him feel worse and worse. He can’t find anything himself.

Mario: “So…hu…ng…ry….nee…d foo…d…now…” *Starving then sat up looking for anything to slow it down*

Luckily Luigi came back with some food. He sat down next to Mario and handed him the most he could find.

Luigi: “Here…I checked if they were bad, expired, or poisonous…but they’re all good..” *He said calmly*

Mario: *Couldn't care less and just devoured all of it. His hunger was too much* “… … …T-Thanks Luigi…” *He thanked almost in a silent voice as if something was bothering him*

Luigi: “Your welcome..but…uh…is something wrong?…You look lost..and bothered..” *He asked confusingly while eating*

Mario: “…Yeah…” *He answered*

Luigi: “What is it?…” *He asked*

Mario: *He took a deep breath* “You…might hate me for this…” *He said tearfully*

Luigi: “Mario…your my brother…if something is bothering you…you can tell me…” *He said calmly*

Mario: “W…well…okay…” *He responded*

As Mario explains everything to Luigi he felt nothing but regret and guilt even sadness. He never told him sooner…

Luigi: “You…..You made a deal with HIM?! Mario wh would you—“ *He gets interrupted by Mario*

Mario: “L-Luigi!…I…I had no choice!…It’s either me dying and never seeing YOU again or do what he SAYS so I knew you were safe! I told him not to harm you in anyway!…He promised..I…I’m…sorry…..” *He tearfully shout at Luigi while explaining to him clearly*

Luigi: “Mario…have you NOT seen what he DONE to me?!” *He screamed*

Mario: “Heh…..Heheh….” *He started to…laugh?*

Luigi: “Wh-what’s so funny?…” *He questioned*

Mario: “Heheh….HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!” *He laughed with tears in his eyes while pinning Luigi to the ground unexpectedly while holding the knife he found earlier*

Luigi: “M-Mario?!…BROTHER!!..” *He screamed in horror*

Mario: “DON’T EVEN KNOW THE HELL I WENT THROUGH JUST TO PREVENT ANY HARM ON YOU?! HUH?! DO YOU?!” *He yelled while holding the blade near his neck*

Luigi: “E-Eep..b-b-brother…p-please!…MERCY!!…I-I-…p-please..p-put t-the knife down…” *He tearfully said not even trying to fight back*

Mario: *He froze then got off of Luigi still holding the knife* “…I’m…sorry…I guess we need to have time alone…” *He said still in tears*

Luigi: “N-no Mario w-we can talk!..please…?” *He gets up and hugs Mario from behind*

Mario dropped the knife and coming back to his senses then proceeded to hug Luigi back crying. Luigi looks calm and worried but manages to make Mario calmed and relaxed. Mario looks up at Luigi feeling at ease and softly smiled.

Mario: *snf* “T…T…Thank you…brother…I…I don’t know what’s wrong with me…” *He said in a upset voice*

Luigi: “It’s okay…your still you…my only brother…” *He said calmly*

Mario: “Mm….yeah…” *He responded*

As things started to settle down they hear loud thumps from the hallway. Both jolted by shock and fear..They ran to find a safe place to hide. However Mario couldn’t keep up as he was having a hard time breathing. Luigi turned around to help him but Mario insisted he go without him.

Luigi: “MARIO! Cmon get up!” *He fearfully exclaimed*

Mario: “N-no Luigi! Go! Run!..PLEASE!!” *He yelled in horror*

Luigi: “But—“ *Interrupted by Mario*

Mario: “NOW!!!—“ *He shoved Luigi and proceeded to get grabbed by a giant hand*

Luigi: “MARIO!!!” *He tearfully screamed*

Mario: “Lu…ig…i…. *coughing* please….run…..I…I…..love you little bro…..” *His last final words before blacking out unconscious*

Mario gets taken away by the unknown hand and Luigi tried to save him but it was futile. He got on his knees and started to cry.

Luigi: “I……I…….love you….too big bro……..I…I’ll find you…n-no matter what….” *He tearfully said to himself*

[Hours passed]

Luigi: “…I…guess I’ll wait…I can’t find him….but…that hand…why’d it looked familiar…? Is it Bowser’s?…I doubt he would be here…right…?” *He asked himself*

[Meanwhile with Mario]

Mario started to regain consciousness and wakes up with…shackles and chains on his wrists and ankles…he was trapped. He start to call for help. But nobody answered.. Until…he sees a figure standing in front of him.

Mario: “H…hello?…C-can you help me?…Please?…” *He politely asked*

The figure inches closer and closer…to his face. Mario was scared. He never been this scared. As the figure got closer…they revealed themselves…and it’s none other…then Bowser himself. Mario was shocked and surprised.

Mario: “B…Bowser?! H-How’d you get here?…And…why’d you imprisoned me?…” *He asked confusingly*

Bowser: “…” *He said nothing but took off the shackles on his ankles and held his arm to make him follow*

Mario: “Uhm…Bowser?…Where are you taking— me….?” *stopped dead in his tracks as he looked absolutely stunned he couldn’t believe what he was seeing..dead Koopas…murdered Yoshis and Toads…even sees…a Koopaling…*

Bowser: “… … …” *He looked at Mario with silence and picked him up like a kid*

Mario: “O-Oh…goodness…I…I…..I had…n-no idea…t-this…this is just CRUEL…!” *He said in a trembling voice*

Bowser: “… … …I may be able to help… … …” *He oddly responded with a odd tone*

Mario: “Eh?…You….want to help us?…Uhm…t-that’s very thoughtful of you Bowser…really..but why you wanna help us?” *He asked in a surprised tone yet calm?*

Bowser: “His so-called ‘test’ is what making you suffer….I mean you lunged at your brother with a knife…and nearly killed him…Kamek told me that ‘drug’ he found was a lie…he didn't find it…he created it. He said ‘this drug can cause someone to go insane, lose memory, change of emotion, lack of motivation’ etc..however…he states there is a cure…but it’s the rarest thing to find…I forgot what it was called…so…as your ‘enemy’ I’ll be willing to assist whenever I can…what do you say…?” *He explains as he cautiously put Mario down and offers a handshake as a ‘deal’/‘agreement’*

Mario was speechless…he never been lied to like this in his life…he had tears in his eyes holding the urge to cry. Then he looks up at Bowser.

Mario: “I…I…..I accept your assistance….’friend’…” *he shook his hand looking….happy…?*

Bowser: “Heh…when’s the last time we were ever ‘friends’ Mario…?” *He scoffed*

Mario: “Well…uhm…I just…thought we could…be friends…sure I kicked your shell in lava, bombs, and more…but…..I wanna change that…we’re stuck in this hell and…..well………I…*He paused for a second* I…….I could use a friend….and you can finally be a good guy……” *He said while holding his hand out as ‘companionship’*

Bowser looked skeptical and confused. But at the same time…he always wanted to be a good guy for once…but failed harshly…there was a long pause between the two.

Bowser: *He sighed* “Your loyal and confident Mario…I’ll give you that…” *He shook his hand lightly cuz his hand is twice as big than Mario’s*

Mario: *He laughed* “Don’t forget Brave and compassionate Bowser.” *He said while smiling softly*

Bowser: “Hmph….that too…alright…let’s go find that brother of yours” *He said with a hint of annoyance*

Mario: “Heh…okie-dokie!…He shouldn’t be that far..” *He said calmly with confidence*

As Bowser picked up Mario they both went to find Luigi. And possibly an exit. Will all 3 get along and escape? Or will they be stuck for good?
