Strong arm of the law


Two whole years have passed since I created Hair Cop for Ludum Dare 48. I always meant to give the game a little makeover, since there is only so much you can do in a mere 2 days.

Apparently it wasn’t meant to happen until now. I give you Hair Cop Alpha release 1. Here are some of the changes and improvements:

  • breakable crates

  • tileset updated

  • 5 new levels

  • switched from wasd to arrow keys for keyboard controls

  • you can move the character now while falling

  • new title art

  • improved explosions

  • schematics and bombs may be hidden inside crates

  • new enemy: the terror punk

  • lives are limited now

Seeing as I label this Alpha release 1, I do have further plans with this game. So expect updates with more content from time to time.

The wet element is going to be a thing.

Summer and other circumstances slowed things down quite a bit, but I'm trying to give the old pen & paper its due and plan some additional stuff more properly.

The arsenal has been enhanced.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
