Somehow, this game got onto the hot retro games list. I guess that one short tweet from Clickteam actually gave this a bit more popularity than I realized!
I’m very excited right now, and very glad to see so many people trying out my game!
To keep you guys updated, however, I just want to mention that another feature the game has gotten is a difficulty level system. You can adjust a universal damage multiplier, and you can adjust the amount of healing you get from enemies. To make encounters against solo enemies more interesting, you could, say, turn up the damage a lot, and turn up the healing somewhat. That way, enemies will deal loads of damage, but, after you’ve defeated it (if it doesn’t destroy you first), you’ll recover from a lot of the damage you took. This also is likely to make the stage hazards in the Electric Quadratic’s stage a LOT more dangerous, while making most of the other stages relatively easy.
Or what if you want it to be easier? Set the enemy damage multiplier to a decimal value, then turn the healing way up! The game will be a breeze! Find that too easy? Turn off healing entirely, and double the damage output of everything!
I’d show you a screenshot of the screen in question, but the input boxes don’t play nicely with screen recording (e.g. they’re invisible in the screenshot or video), and there’s not much to show anyways.
I just thought I’d let you guys know about a new feature while reporting on the recent realization that the game is actually getting somewhat popular.
To everyone who’s played the game, and everybody who is keeping up with the development of it, my deepest thanks for giving my game a try, and/or for watching the development from the sidelines!
I’ll have to think of something to do for you guys to celebrate a milestone once we reach one. I already mostly missed the 100 plays milestone, the 100 views milestone, and am generally speaking doing a bad job of keeping up with the milestones.
I guess you can consider this a belated 100 plays milestone devlog.
(Now, if only my other games could get a bit more attention… I can’t keep working on this one forever, after all. XD)
