Hey space cadets! First news post and it’s HUGE!
As I’m hard at work making the rest of the game, my buddy Alex, who plays Dexter, went down to the Dominican Republic where Alec and Lola live (who play Felipe and Aurora).
We video chatted about how great of a response we’ve received to the game, and they came up with a great idea… why not make a Dexter Stardust short movie. I loved the idea, and Alec knows some guys who have access to some rigs and cranes and such… so, that’s what we’re doing!
We’re making a LIVE-ACTION short that’s a prequel to the game’s story: “Dexter Stardust - Adventures in Outer Space: Night of the Triton Delivery.” However, the game will have to see some very-minor story / dialogue adjustments in order to stay in harmony with the over-arching story of Dexter’s universe that we’ve created. Nothing big. I don’t think I’ll even have to create any new artwork. Just dialogue stuff.

I wrote the script for the short a few weeks ago and as I work on the score, Alec, Alex and Lola (AKA: Felipe, Dexter, Aurora) are shooting it. I’ve seen some footage and it looks great! Very cinematic. In fact, one of the reasons we want to launch a Kickstarter (TBA), is so we can produce live action cut-scenes in the game, instead of the static images you see in the demo. So, this short will give you all an idea of how those will look. And trust me… they’re gonna be great!
In the meantime, Alec and I will be posting stuff to our new facebook and Twitter pages:

Have a spacey day everyone. Thanks for the support, youtube videos, plays and likes! You’re the best!
