Superestrial: New Years Devlog

Hey guys, S0daM0ist here! Six whole months since this Game-Jolt opened, crazy huh? With New Years right around the corner, I thought it be nice to share all of the progress I've made this year!

So, fun fact: This year was actually the start of development for Superestrial (February to be exact)! And within the 10 months Superestrial has been in development, music, animations, coding, and art, has been made for the game.

To be more specific, some of the games art actually got remade, because when I took one look at the old art for the demo's level, I realized, I could've done so much better .

I've also been improving on my coding skills, so a lot of time will be spent on making better code for stuff like enemy behavior from here on out.

Now, I do want to talk about previous dev-logs. So, about stuff like, "Level design is almost complete" and "Progress Percentages"... Yeah, that's no longer the case . And no, nothing bad happened to the game or anything, it's just that I want the demo to be in the best state it can be, let alone the whole game. So, because of that, I'm not going to use any progress percentages anymore so that progress has a more realistic view. I've also been working on factors I saw as outdated, in need of a rework, or just straight up bad.

So, with that out of the way, I want to wish you all a Merry (Late) Christmas, and Happy New Year!

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
