Hello Everyone!
Lately, I've noticed more and more of my older games becoming unplayable due to bugs and glitches. That's why I've decided to go through each of my old games, fix them up, remake them, and expand them with any unused assets!
Why am I doing this? Because I want to ensure a comfortable gameplay experience for all players, and there are also many things I've created in the past that I haven't yet published in games or on the internet. I want to make all of this public before moving on with a larger-scale engine, as I feel like what I started isn't quite finished.
As for the main project undergoing a rebirth, it's "Sonic Worlds: Lucky's Abandoned Online Engine"!
Overall, this is a modified engine that works with the Dark-Wire server (Bluewing). I've rewritten the entire online engine to ensure all code is clean and optimized.
I've managed to solve connection issues and make everything more organized. There are some minor fixes as well, but those aren't essential right now. Let's focus on the content and main features of the game.
This game will include the old fan-made levels I created in the past (including the Scratch levels, half of which were faulty due to Scratch limitations!).
I previously made an online engine for Sonic Worlds, but unfortunately, it didn't turn out as good as I had hoped, so I abandoned the project halfway. Now, however, I'm incorporating all the levels I made for it into this current project! There will be PVP, Race, and default levels among them.
I should also mention that once the project is completed, the game's source code will definitely be made available. There may be further updates in the future, but that's still uncertain.
That's all from me. Thank you for taking the time to read through this lengthy devlog, and if you're interested, please keep an eye out for updates on the game called "Vig Mario" as well. I'm sure you'll enjoy it! 👍
