Switching to GameMaker2


Hey everyone, Its me The Nonfictional Explainer, Hope you all had a good christmas, and or hanukkah.

For those of you who didnt read my last post, i essentially talked about how i was delaying "Five Night's at Freddy's: Cinematic Mode" (FNAF:CM) to 2026. due to alot of complications regarding other projects and irl stuff. One those complications was due to my inexperience with clickteam 2.5, and to be honest figuring out how to code stuff in that engine is hassle considering theyre arent too many usefull tutorials online on how to make a fnaf fan game (Plus the version i was using was missing features and was overall very buggy)

However last week in my head i toyed with the idea of using game maker 2 to develop FNAF:CM instead. It wasnt until yesterday that i actually started work on the game in this new engine. And oh man has it been way more easier to use than clickteam (No wonder phisnom likes this engine)

I got so used to it in fact, that i recreated all my work from the clickteam version of the game and then some, (which ill be showing later)

So yeah FNAF:Cm is gonna be made in clickteam, now i still need to polish up the movie map before i start work on any office sections, but just know im actively working on this game again.
