Syobon Action Zed GameMaker 2 rewrite


Hey, it's been a while.

It's been two years but I've just now gotten the motivation to continue working on this fan-game after watching a friend play through it for the first time and remembering its potential.

Since I no longer use GameMaker: Studio to develop games and use GameMaker 2, I'm rewriting the whole project in GameMaker 2 so it's more comfortable to work with instead of porting it directly to GameMaker 2.

Because of all of the work having to be redone, Demo 2 will have similar content that Demo 1 currently has. Demo 2 will consist of World 1 and level 2-1, and should have more features and updated levels.

Because of this, Demo 3 will have World 2 and level 3-1 instead of this one. Not everything will be 1 to 1 though as this is a complete codebase rewrite.

I hope to add more features and QOL improvements, like the ability to select levels, to set if you want lives in your game, and other stuff I can think about later.

I'm not giving a strict deadline or vague timeframe when this'll be finished, as I don't know if this motivation will last, I really hope it does either way.
