I think the intro with the red and blue circles might be a reference to what Kinger said: that Scratch was innovative but had very complicated and difficult ideas, and that Kinger had simple ideas but they weren't as innovative (or at least that's what I remember).
I suspect this because of the red circle constantly throwing out more complicated shapes and then swallowing the blue circle, which throws out simple shapes.
Or it could simply be a reference to Caine :V
