If you follow me closely, you may recongize the user. As, I've worked with them before.

But over the months of me working with them and me getting to know them better as a person. I realize that they're. Not quite what they seem.

I don't want to make this post like 12 paragraphs long, so Ima shorten some stuff. For any questions you may have revolving this topic that I may have possibly missed, please comment them down below.

I'll be calling this user Manus for the remainder of this post, as that is the nick name and the name I'm used to calling them. Now ima get to the point

Sympathy Farming:

This is mainly the one I wanted to discuss the most, as it's a commen occurence for them to farm for sympathy.

You may be asking, how are they even doing that? Well basically to sum it up. Manus from time to time will post something on gamejolt that will be like a short little message and like an "anime girl sad" image along side it

Dosen't sound too bad, right? Well now we get into the fact that he does this an abnormal amount of times, maybe like once or twice a week. He'll make a post talking about how "sad" he is. But then, after a few hours pass of him just dissapearing offline. He'll just move on like nothing happened and completely leave his worried fans un answered, and fails to give any context whatsoever, even to his closest friends (which happens to be the friend group I reside within)

It's not just in his posts too, he'll just leave these un answered mood swings in random people's private chats.

And the sickening fact is that, he's pretty much normalized this odd behavior. Acting like it's a typical every day event. Which, it's NOT. Deppressing behaviors are not normal whatsoever. And they should NOT be viewed, or treated as such.

And I'm positive Manus believes that, which is why he even does these random posts and chats in the first place. So that he can get other people to worry silently and make them fear for him so he can get reassurance, which, that's fine, everybody needs reassurance every now and then. But this is not the way to handle that.

Rubbing in fame:

This one you'll have to take my word for it, as there's no evidence whatsoever of this anymore, since the post he made was of course deleted the moment he was confronted for it.

Manus earlier today made a post stating how he had more fame than his "fangame developer friends" (which is obviously targetted towards me and my friend group, who are developers)

It wasn't just an awareness post though, he didn't bother to @ or even mention us at all. Infact he seemed like he was satisfied from the fact.

There's not much I remember from the short post but at the end he said "WTF did I do right HUH?!"

Which clearly is just hinting towards the fact he's happy with this current state.

He also brought up the fact he currently has 1.1k followers on his account, and his "fangame developer friends" only have under 500. Which like, OK? Who cares, don't rub it in. He also brought up his fangame follower count, which is the same concept.

Again, you'll just have to believe me on that one, since like I said I don't have any proof for it. You don't have to believe me, and I don't expect you to. All I'm saying is that, it happened. And it makes me mad.

CONCLUSION:

Overall this sums up what he's like. This is just the tip of the ice berg, and I REALLY did not wanna make a post like this. So there's of course gonna be some un answered questions here.
