Tbh I can't agree with people who say Minecraft shouldn't have items that help localize or even lead you to biomes/structures cuz its about exploration.

Minecraft is a sandbox game, if you don't wanna craft "Nature's Compass" if it was in game you could.

I'm not a fan of the Nature's Compass specifically, I think there should be cooler ideas but I like a mod that adds Wraiths to Nether which drop an item that leads you to the nearest fortress.

Its a well thought thing, if you dont wanna use it this way there should be crafting recipes for blocks from these items and it should be used to brew potions so everyone is happy.
