At this point it's no secret that our team is in dire need of more volunteers. We recently made new developments (More information in the next section) and really want to make a proper start as soon as possible. Because of this we're looking for people experienced in coding in Gamemaker Studio 2! If you or anybody you know would be interested in helping us out, don't be scared to put out an application. Unlike with the other roles, we don't necessarily need you to provide reference material, though if you have worked on any other projects, it'd help to see what you've worked on! Now, as for other applications.
We've previously had issues with people applying for the other roles not having a social media account to showcase their work on, we've put this in the application posts, but if you do not have a social media account where you can showcase your work to us, please put in a Google Drive for us to review. We cannot accept applications without material to reference.
We'd also like to ask that you check your discord friend requests in the days after you apply! Sometimes it can take a few days for us to get to people. We'll accept most applications within 7 days. Aside from Coders we're also looking for Artists, Spriters and Musicians.
While we can't really show you a whole lot, we can give you a small update on how things are going development-wise. We have recently put together a "Development Plan" in order to make the creation of the game as efficient as possible and to make sure we have plenty to show over here once we properly get started. Currently we're prioritising the creation of a sort of "Barebones" build of the game which will act as the foundation for development going forward. This will allow us to showcase very early gameplay on our YouTube channel, giving you a look at mechanics and early versions of areas. Most of what we'll show for a while will be pretty unfinished, so it might not be too pretty on the eyes, but we will building upon this build over time as we get closer to a finished product, then Frisk and Sydney won't have to walk around a bunch of undetailed coloured rooms. In other news we have the vast majority of the Demo's story figured out, something that's gonna make things in the future a lot easier.
So to conclude...
Generally things are going pretty well, we know what we're gonna be doing next, but we need more hands on board to do it. So, as I've said before, if you or anyone you know might be interested in participating in the creation of Regenesis, don't be afraid to put an application through, we'd love to hear from ya!
