DVDs were my childhood, to say the least. Ever since I got my first DVD player, I have enjoyed using DVDs To Watch my favorite shows, Movies, and so on. Even Though I don't use DVDs to watch cartoons and movies much anymore, I still love to use them, when I'm traveling, Or even when I'm bored. But even though I love Watching media with DVDs, I have experienced a lot of drawbacks from watching DVDs. Most of the drawbacks are glitched disks, and the DVDs being scratched. But I had another drawback that I experienced, that would change the way I think about unreleased content.

It was Around 8:13 Pm, on the 10th of July 2022 (one day after my birthday). I was out shopping, and the store in question was the best to buy “If you were wondering”. That day, I had lost my phone, and couldn't find it. So, I decided to go to drive over to the store, to get a new phone. Furthermore, I had found the phone I wanted, and I paid for it. I was about to leave the store when an idea popped into my head, “How About I buy some DVDs before I go”, I said in my mind. I ended up turning back, and I went to the DVD aisle. I bought a couple of SpongeBob DVDs and a Simpsons DVD. I was about to leave the isle when something caught my attention. I walked backward a few feet, to see what I saw. I then walked closer to the shelf, to get a closer look. I then realized it

was a DVD of the popular Cartoon Network TV show “The Amazing World Of Gumball”. I then picked it up and looked at the title, “The Amazing World Of Gumball”, was the title of course. But underneath the title was a single sentence that said, “The Murders”, which was a little off-putting. But I ignored it, I popped it into my cart and went to the checkout. I bought the DVDs and I drove home, Not thinking much about the Gumball DVD. After I got home, I put the Gumball DVD into my DVD player, which was very new, since my first one had broken down a few days before. And the reason why I had gotten the Gumball DVD in the first place, was because I had watched the show several times with my 8-year-old brother, and I had somehow enjoyed watching it.

And if you did not know about the show, I would rather you watch at least the first 10 episodes from the first season, and so on. Once I popped the disk into the player, I was blasted with the intro to the TV show, and I stayed through the whole intro because I did not care. After it ended, it cut to the menu screen. Which only had 1 option, which was episode selection. Once I got to the selection screen, I was met with the name of the episode, that was displayed on the title. and underneath the name, were a few other episodes. Which were the 4th 5th and 6th episodes. Which were, "The Quest", "The Spoon”, and “The Night”.

Unfortunately, when I tried playing those 3 episodes, it would only show a black screen. This lead me to select the only episode that would work, “The Murders”. And I started watching. Once I started watching, almost instantly I noticed something was off. The color tone was darker than usual, and at the end of the intro when the kids in the background shouted “The Amazing World If Gumball!”, It cut off straight to the episode. The episode started with Gumball getting into the family car, with Darwin, Anais, and Nicole. "Obviously” Nicole was the one driving the car because she was an adult. I also noticed that Gumball and Darwin had backpacks on, which meant that they were going to school. After they all got seated, Nicole started the car up and drove out of the garage, and drove off.

The episode then showed a montage of Gumball, Darwin and Anais waiting, as Nicole drove them to school. After about 14 seconds, the montage stopped, and they finally reached the school. It then cut to Darwin, Anais and Gumball walking up the steps to the front door, but before Gumball went inside, Nicole called to him, and he turned around (Yes, Gumball is a male, and so is Darwin, but Anais is a female). Nicole then walked up to Gumball, “So Gumball”, She started “are you gonna enjoy school today?”. “Why yes”, Gumball Replied, “It's my greatest day!”, he said excitedly.

“Ok Gumball! have a nice day,” Nicole said, as she walked away. Gumball said nothing and walked into the school. It then cut to the next clip, which was where the episode started to get strange. As Gumball walked into the entrance, Penny walked up to him and said, “Hello Gumball!”, Gumball then replied with “Hello Penny”, before he could finish talking, the quality deteriorated, and the audio distorted, as the screen started to pixelate. And to make matters worse, the episode froze up in the middle of all of this. As it happened, I had a feeling of dread I had never felt before. “Oh gosh”, I said out loud. “What In the world is going on?”, I said confused. Right before I could say anything, the screen turned to black, for a couple of seconds, the only thing I heard was the faint sound of static, plus the black screen upon the screen on the DVD Player.

This didn't last long, because it immediately cut to a new scene. I hoped at that point, that this strange occurrence would end. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I prayed, it did not go back to normal. Even though I prayed for it to start up back to normal, my praysweree not heard by God, And I was forced to see what would happen in the next scene. The next scene started distorted, to say the least. it was just a distorted blur, and there was also no audio. But after a few seconds, the distortion started to clear. And after a while, I could hear and see what was going on. The scene that was shown after the distortion cleared, was a picture of Penny, standing in a field. She was just facing the screen, staring.

The picture was also drawn in the TV show's style, which made it very off-putting. It only stayed for about 10 seconds; before Jumping to a new scene. The new scene started with Penny and Gumball, Laying underneath a tree. There was nothing much to the scene, besides Gumball and Penny breathing slowly. There was nothing much to the part of the episode, it was just them laying under the tree. I decided to eject the DVD and take a nap since nothing was happening in the episode. About an hour later, I woke up, and I went to make myself lunch. After I ate my food, I got up from my seat and turned around. And I saw the Gumball DVD, lying on the table, where I had left it.

Seeing the DVD on the table, made me remember the episode. So, I got up once again and plopped it into the DVD player. I selected the Episode I had watched an hour earlier, I fast-forwarded to the scene I had left off, and I resumed watching. Surprisingly, it jumped Immediately to a new scene, which was the title card. And there was nothing much to the title card, it seemed normal. The only thing that wasn't normal, was the fact that the voice of the kid that usually says the name of the episode, was not heard. It was silent.

It stayed on the screen for approximately 6 seconds, before fading out to the next scene. The next scene was not what I expected. It was probably the most disturbing scene, in the Entire episode. The next scene started with Gumball, walking around the Kitchen room area, supposedly looking for someone. He was calling out Nicole's name, as he walked around. Eventually, he gave up, he then went over to the other side of the counter, to rest his body against, as he scratched his head. “Gosh, where is mom??”, he began, “I can't find her anywhere”.

Besides Gumball trying to find his mum, there was something very odd, in the shot. Darwin was in the scene, but he wasn't moving, and he was in a strange pose like he was trying to do a bare roll. It's so strange I can't even explain it. Furthermore, Gumball just stood there, looking very confused. After about 30 seconds, something happened, that I did not even expect. Richard came into the Kitchen, sneaking. Unfortunately, he did not look like he usually does. To say the least, he looked fucked. He had a very sinister look on his face, and the worst thing about him, he had blood splattered on his hands and other parts of his body. Blood covered his lips, and maybe even his mouth. He looked like he had just bitten someone, very hard. He walked behind Gumball, without him even noticing. And slowly reached his hand out, like he was ready to grab him.

Before he could grab him, Gumball looked above himself, and he pulled his hand back. Gumball, after seeing his dad's Blood covered face, looked at the camera, with a slightly shocked look on his face. Then suddenly, music started playing, but it was not the normal happy music you hear in a Gumball episode. The music was very intense, it was the kind of music you hear in horror movies, like the shining, that was supposed to make you feel petrified.

The screen slowly zoomed in on Gumball's Horrified face, while the horror music played in the background. At this point, I felt Like I wanted to push the off button on the DVD player, but I just couldn't. My mind was fixated on the screen, so I continued to watch. Once the screen had fully zoomed in on his face, the screen cut to black for Approximately 12 seconds, before cutting to another still image. Which was, I'll say, very uncanny. It was a distorted picture of Richard, with no eyes at all. He was standing a few feet away from the camera, and the background looked like a realistic photo of a barn at night. The image was followed by a very loud beep, that hurt my ears.

At that point, I chose to eject the DVD. I then placed the DVD on my computer, to take a few screenshots, not thinking much. After taking all the screenshots, I felt curious, I wanted to see what would happen after the picture of Richard played, so I continued watching. The next scene was a scene of Darwin and Gumball playing hide & seek, besides the low quality, the scene seemed pretty normal. It wasn't until Darwin snuck up behind Gumball holding a large rock, is when I lost my trust in the scene. I was very concerned that something fucked was going to happen, and sure enough, I was right. When Darwin had walked right behind Gumball, he lifted the rock above his brother's head, and I knew what would happen.

He bashed Gumball's head with the rock, and the scene suddenly jumped to a picture of Gumball, lying on the grass, unconscious. With blood pouring from his head, a bloody rock was lying right fucking next to his own blood-covered head. "This is even More Uncanny than the other image!" I said in complete shock. At that moment that happened, I lost my trust in the episode. I paused the episode, took the final screenshot, and I ejected the DVD for the final time. I then went outside and proceeded to bury the DVD. And after all of that, I went back inside. I ended up watching the other DVDs, before deciding to take another nap, which didn't go well. I ended up having a nightmare about the episode, that caused me to wake up. And after that, I did not take another nap for the rest of the day.

I ended up realizing that, burying the Dam DVD underground was a very bad idea because I could just report it to the police, and they would take it, thus it never being in my life again. So, I dug it back up and reported it to the police as I side. They took it away, and I would never see it since that day. Even after about 2 years after I watched the DVD, I still question myself, wondering why this episode was even created. But, as of today, I still can't figure out why it was made, or what happened, during the creation of the episode. I searched online for the episode, but I could never get any results. So, for now, the episode will have to remain a mystery, for most likely a long time. If you're reading this article, please tell me what you think about this episode.
