The Future of Five Nights at Treasure Island

So uh... I think if you've gotten the final codes in TWGMS, you already know where this is going. But, before we get into all of that, I just want to say a few things.

First, I want to thank you all for the insane amount of support we have gotten since FNaTI was released. I find it quite unbelievable the game is actually done after so long, it almost feels like a lie. When we started the game, I really didn’t expect anything out of it. I especially didn't expect it to blow up. The FNaTI community was on a decline when we announced the project and there was quite a disliking towards us and what we were doing. To be honest, I'm shocked that we went from the negativity we felt at that time to the huge following we have now. Of course, the game has its flaws, but most people seem to really like the game... so thanks!

What exactly is happening with FNaTI now? Well, I originally planned to drop out of the FNaF & Fangame community after FNaTI was done, but the amount of support and positivity we have gotten from the game has made me change my mind. I know some of you probably saw this coming. The team is officially rebooting Five Nights at Chuck E. Cheese's, as some of you already know. But beyond that, we've been working on... a few FNaTI related projects. I'm just going to explain what's going on in this devlog as I am quite terrible at keeping things under wraps and I don't really like hiding them. So uh...

Oblitus Casa (FNaTI 2)

So I already expect some people to be quite annoyed with this announcement, as there have been so many fan-made sequels in the past (please play Peyton's NBD remake) to the point where the idea of a sequel to FNaTI is a bit of a turnoff. Let me put this out right now though: Oblitus Casa will not be like any other FNaTI game. With Oblitus Casa, we aim to not only conclude the FNaTI story definitively, but we also want to innovate—in the same way, FNaTI innovated back in 2014.

I have said multiple times behind the scenes that I want this game to be "a blur on the line between a fangame and not a fangame" and so far... well, let's just say what we have planned so far is quite interesting. I also would like to sort of improve off of 6.0 and make a game that could top FNaTI in a way.

Unfortunately for you guys, the team has agreed to avoid posting about this project until the game is halfway done, so this is probably all you guys will get until that time comes. To keep you all hyped, here's a small promotional image showcasing the new and familiar main antagonist. He can't wait to meet you.

So yeah, there is something for you guys to look forward to. Point is, FNaTI isn't dead. We’re just getting started.

Thanks for being so supportive. We look forward to making many more games for you all. Here's to 2021!
