in that program set default process priority for r1scott2.exe to idle and set default process priority for project4.exe to idle. project4.exe is the games executable that includes the movie. r1scott2.exe is the executable that decompresses that exe.
under process watchdog set the following rules. you can play with them a bit depending on your processor but theyll probably work.
r1scott2.exe greater than 50 percent set io priority to low
r1scott2.exe greater than 15 percent set io priority to low
project4.exe greater than 50 percent set io priority to low
project4.exe greater than 15 percent set io priority to low
project 4.exe less than 2 megabytes set io priority to high
make sure to right click process lasso in the taskbar and shutdown process lasso but make sure not to shutdown process lasso's core engine. this makes the rules process lasso applies very light weight. you may also want to enable forced mode in process lasso.
*if you are using the older version of the game. then change r1scott2.exe to r1scott.exe
these settings prevent freezes when first loading the game. If the video file doesn't play when first playing that is because project4.exe is corrupted. to fix this press windows r %appdata% go to local. delete folder project 4. the steps shown here are technically only needed the first time you open up the file. during future plays the file will be decompressed. as long as project 4 folder is created in appdata and not corrupted the video should play fine. pretty much any game maker program does store data in appdata at least as far as I know.
