The Gift of Permadeath

Death in shooting games be like? Play shoot get shot re-spawn rinse and repeat.

This has been bothering me. You might say the fun is all that matters, but I’m not motivated to give it all when the stake is low.

Originally the game had two modes: Survival and Battle Royale. I liked Battle where players need to stay dead until the match is over (I made them into ghosts!) but that needs gathering and synchronising a bunch of friends which is more of a weekend thing.

So, I decided to introduce permadeath in Bad Bears, where characters are created with unique stats, and we keep playing the same till they’re cold.

Already in the latest patch, life points. In the next patch this can be recovered using loot drops; rare loot increases max HP.

Also in the next patch, portals offer an attractive alternative to jumping off the edge when you’re done playing, or want to visit a different room).

The dead no longer get a place in leaderboards.
(I may resurrect an all-times-greatest..)

I’ll put this up today, or tomorrow - stay tuned!

Ducks shall Rain Tomorrow, in the coming update to Shoot Me Baby, it will be raining ducks. While this is a sight to behold, the update will ship with serious fixes, like limiting the amount of text you can enter in the name field.

So

i may or may not make an full art of some person or i may just leave this like that-

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.
