The last bit of content is added. Now it's time for balancing/QA. I don't know how long this will take (I'm expecting a lot of bugs), but I'm hoping to have it out ASAP. Here's a teaser of what's in store for the Time & Temp update:

  • Day/Night cycle

  • In-game clock

  • Weather and seasons (affects temp)

  • Yearly calendar

  • Monthly forecasts

  • Tank temperature

  • Holidays

  • Saving/Loading with GameJolt (primitive but it works)

  • Breeding (including genetics, egg hatching, etc.)

  • A handful of new fish designs, most of which have to do with holidays/time (not all)

  • A handful of new decor you can unlock (not very much but some)

  • Fixed fish stock per day (except free fish)

  • Per-day market saturation to prevent spamming fish

  • All fish have a desired temp

  • Nearly all stats of a species can be bred out

  • Environmental factors affect eggs

This is basically a different game lol, I've been keeping busy.

Smaller fish pack, contains the mummyfish and the anubisfish, + a new water + a pyramid decor + a new theme.

Finished up the update for my aquarium simulation game. Manage many different exotic and occult fish species in your own personal tank. It also includes a breeding and genetic system. Play for free on the web here at GameJolt!

Non-artist attempts an RPG protagonist. An actual artist could do this faster and better but anyways. Now I gotta redo all of my animations.

And we have ground aquatic animals! In this case I modeled a cute trilobite (which is funny because atm it's the only real animal in the game lol). This could easily extend to crabs or slugs/snails. Their behavior isn't that complex though.

Working on a new end game thing. Cosmic fish variants of all fish, only obtainable through breeding after 100%. Also added some animation/color to the gene menu.

Working on my 2d art skills, threw together this simple top down demo. I have a vague idea for a game I want to prototype. It's setup in a way where I can easily swap the sprites of each body part, good for armor, hats, etc.

Ranged and melee combat. Lots of parameters to tweak for different weapons. Eventually I might move it into a big data structure if I end up continuing this.

Spent a few hours today remaking some Sims build mode functionality. Not really making a game with it atm, just a curiosity. Walls are unbelievably jank, but not bad for a couple hours. I'm mostly messing with the system in case I make something like it.

merged my sims build mode thingy with my A* test. Really cool to see the two systems interact very well together. There's probably some edge cases but I'm pretty happy with this.
