I have a confession to make. It’s a confession I’m not really proud of and I won’t prevaricate about it, so I suppose I’ll just tell you:
No progress so far.
Well, okay, no progress is a bit exaggerated. I wrote a small part of the dialogues for Episode 3 and made some characters, but that’s it. It’s not that I don’t feel like working on Old Gramps. It’s more a sudden lack of inspiration and time. I guess I have to replay the Phoenix Wright series to regain my creative mindset; something which I’m going to start, say, tomorrow.
As for the lack of time, the last semester is coming to an end in about two weeks. So after that, a lot of time to do whatever I want! Hurray!
To show you I did make a bit of progress, I’ll share something with you. It’s a character you all know (that is, if you played Old Gramps), but slightly different.
It’s good old Officer Ibrow. But hey, what’s that!? Where did his blue uniform go? Something wrong at the police department?
Of course, Episode 3 will be filled with a lot of crazy characters. It has a bizarre story and I hope to add some new voice overs as well. I’d say: stay tuned for more about Episode 3.
I want to end this rather short blogpost with this: I just want to say thank you to all those who played Old Gramps. The game has almost hit 250 plays and although that’s a relatively low number, it reminds me of why I’m making this game; for its small fanbase. We live in a decade in which fast paced games prevail. I don’t expect everyone to like Old Gramps. And that’s why appreciate the people who show their affection with this sort of games.
Nevertheless, besides saying that you do like Old Gramps, I’d also like to hear the opinions of people that don’t like it. It could help me a lot!
Good, that’s it, for now. I hope to make a lot of progress the coming weeks. Feel free to give your opinions about the game - positive or negative; that means a lot to me.
