Two characters originating from comic books who were once normal people (and if you include the most popular version of the Mask, Movie Mask, then both were once normal men, Stanley and Steven, who were not the most perfect guy around) but later became cartoon characters and much more powerful, which contrasts to their (for the most part) realistic worlds.
