Recently Sonic's Gaming Hub figured out how to mod Sonic 3 AIR and work on sonic the hedgehog rom hacks. So in the modding section of the anniversary there might be a chance that a few rom hacks or additional mods will be added.
So just keep and eye out for the next post because the next post could confirm or deny the rom hacks.
