The State of Winter's Quietude and the Introduction of TRANSIT

Well it’s about time for a mention of WQ… but you may not like it as much.

Hello everyone; it’s Padre Snowmizzle… or Andrew Snowman, whoever you’d want to call me, typing up this article for you. I’ve had the honor of being Nicolas’ partner-in-crime for almost a year now, reimagining his first major horror hit known as The Silent House: Anniversary Edition, which I highly recommend playing again to all of you veterans, as you’re missing out on a brand new story alongside content. I also wrote the lore behind Leroy Crawford Sr, Jessica Crawford, and Leroy Crawford Jr. within The Crawford Family, a pretty underrated game jam piece of his that wouldn’t hurt to have a quick peek.

There is also the matter of Winter’s Quietude, a game that would potentially create a true predator with adaptive play… but this comes with a downside. Nicolas and I are only two people, albeit very talented, so the time and general interest has been pushed to the wayside until we can gather a team to assist our development. If you would like to help us out, please reach out to me at [email protected] with some work so we can determine if you’d make a decent member of the WQ team.

If we aren’t working on WQ, then what are we doing? Currently, we’re working on a game called TRANSIT, focusing on the aspect of social anxiety and a general disregard for huge crowds of people. You never know who may commit a dirty deed in a clustered public space, right? Also yes, I pretty much laid the blueprints out this time around, while Lowman is the guy executing the ideas. We’re excited for this project as it’s a realistic scenario… in a sense, anyway.

Below is a poll for the game. Since we are making the game pretty realistic, we were tossing around the idea of having more serious threats within your playthrough, alongside with the 10-15 current ones. With this said, and we know it’s going to sound blunt, but should we include a non-stereotypical terrorist as a single, rare-to-appear threat to spice up our later difficulties? They would at random pull out a pistol and begin shooting around them into crowds until they off themselves or authorities take them down, causing most people to panic and flee the subway. Morally, we know it may be offensive; with that said, don’t play it if you’re going to be that terribly bothered that the votes swing in favor of the potential threat. Simple as that.

We would like to thank all of those who have stuck around for so long, keeping your patience about you as we dip our toes in the right pools at the right times. We’re looking forward to bringing you content and teasers for TRANSIT in due time, and we’re making sure not to entirely leave Winter’s Quietude in the dust.

Best regards,
Padre Snowmizzle (aka Andrew Snowman)
