No joke, the fandom for some reason seems to believe that scenes with an unsettling ambience and dark shots over the animatronics are enough to make psychological horror. I have seen several fangames believe that's how horror is made, and, believe me, I bet most of these devs don't even know what psychological horror actually is, because, if they were, I wouldn't be complaining. The same applies for gore, it doesn't immediately equal to horror, its just the easy way out, and that's dumb lol
I guess its very hard to actually pull of horror in a fandom that is filled with so many sensitive people who often reject games that actually try to be very spooky and very dark for some stupid reason.
The only developer in this community that i've seen actually understand what psychological horror is is the man himself, Phisnom. Say what you want about him, but he knew what he was doing. I'd say that, if you guys were to actually analyze what made his games so creepy and disturbing, you would have a better shot at making an actually scary horror game (which is a first for most fangames).
But no, he got cancelled so its now forbidden to see his work in a positive light!!
You guys see why i'm so frustrated with this place??

There is not a single person in the FNaF community who seems to actually understand horror. Everytime a developer says "this one's gonna be really scary" about their upcoming game/fangame, I just roll my eyes cause I know they're bullshitting us.

I usually don’t do shoutouts, but this is an exception given that it’s from a friend I’ve known for a while.
Shoutout to “Jumper’s 64” by @N1ceNToasty ! As most of you know, I was the scriptwriter of the original Jumper’s, and seeing this fills me w/ joy.
