There something I've noticed about bait-and-switch memes that I've seen here. I'd like to talk about it.
Often times, these memes have anime-ish stuff, something romantic, or some niche appeal and then bait-and-switch it to something else. I'm not a fan of certain niche things, but why use anime/anime-inspired and romantic stuff for bait-and-switch memes? I don't get it.
Is it because they're not "cool"? Is it because it's funny? Is it because messing with certain appeals is funny?
I don't know. I'm getting a little tired of it. I'd like to know why this often happens.
