this isnt a fun fact but i honestly, HONESTLY, have nothing fun to share. by 2050 90%~ of coral reefs are set to be lost unless extreme urgent intervention occurs, which realistically isn't going to happen.


If you're curious, this is the difference between what flourishing coral reef looks like (Great Barrier Reef, specifically).

all of these are from the Great Barrier Reef. the second is from the Northern parts. the Great barrier reef has lost half of it's coral since 1995. big shock, thats not fucking normal.
