Normally I wouldn't go on a rant about something like this, but there's a reason I make my art and games low poly. The reason is that I want to!
Trust me, I've been doing this for 7 years and I can make "realistic" and "complex" models if I want to, but I don't!
The reason that I don't is that it takes away from the look and feel that I (the developer) had in mind for the art or game.
I know that a large amount of the people on this platform are kids that have really only played Minecraft, Roblox or Fortnite so it's difficult for them to wrap their heads around it, but I'm putting this here because I'm getting so tired of explaining it over and over 💀
Some people even think that I do low poly because I'm new to this or because I'm not "good" at it. Of course I haven't let that bother me because I just automatically block them, but I thought I'd put this here for people who don't want to be ignorant.
Either way, if I keep seeing people refer to my stuff as "Minecraft", "Roblox", etc, I'm just gonna remove the comment and probably block them because it's SUPER insulting to me to have to be compared to companies with millions of dollars in a way where someone is indirectly saying whatever I've produced looks like shit.
