​Throw-A-Thing - Version 3.0 Devlog

Hi everyone! Throw-A-Thing V3 is officially out! So let's go over all the new stuff.


Firstly, we got the new areas! 

  • First off, the Piano World area, and yeah it's a giant piano, the gimmick is, the objects in this area can actually press the piano keys and emit sound.

  • ​Secondly, the Mesa area, it's pretty basic, inspired by the Backrooms Fandom Level 200, and it also has a song inspired by Saria's Song from Ocarina of Time.

  • Thirdly, we have the Market area, also pretty basic, it's got fruit and shopping items.

  • Fourth, we got the Sky area, which is this pack's open area, most of the objects in this one are extra-bouncy, we'll get onto that later

  • Fifth, and lastly, we got the Sandbox, which is the largest area in the game, bigger than all the 4 open areas combined, it has every special gimmick and half of every object from every map in the game.

  • And of course, our secret areas, The Backrooms, accessed by getting out of bounds in the Trees area; the Work Desk, reached by no-clipping through the ground, in the Sky; and A Proper Ending, you'll get it once you visit every other area (it'll appear in the teleport menu)!

As for other features, instead of just a row of buttons across the map, there's a teleport menu, toggled by pressing E in PCs or by double-tapping in mobile. All the old teleport buttons were moved here. Objects also now have different traits, like bounciness, friction, damping, and density. Other than that, we have visual improvements, and sprite/collision fixes.
