To be honest, I didn’t really know what I was doing with Night Shift at Freddy’s: Remastered, there wasn’t supposed to be any story, I just wanted it to be a little FNaF game. As I was recording the phone calls, I came up with this idea that would set me up with many possibilities, let me paraphrase what the last few phone calls were about “The workers found a secret room in one of the older locations, in it, they found what looked to be an older model of Freddy, an older model of Bonnie, and another animatronic that was so decayed they couldn’t tell what it was supposed to be, all three characters were tinted gold” This lead me to several ideas, not just one finite path, which I like because I often change my plans partway through, for instance I could:
Leave it as a mystery
Tie into one of my friends series (like Fazbear’s Return or Five Nights at Fang’s)
Make an original character(s)
Alright, time for the explanations
Many of you may have seen the “NSaF 2 confirmed” news post, but I got rid of it because I was acting childish, if you didn’t see it it basically read “Someone told me my game sucked so I’m making another one” That was a huge mistake, if I reacted that way towards all negative feedback I’d be the most hated person in the community. Whoever told me that, I deeply apologize for my reaction, it was childish and ridiculous. This doesn’t mean that the other part of the news post, the “I’m making another game” isn’t true, I did confirm it, just in an inappropriate manner, the only difference is that now I’m making it out of the spirit of innovation and passion instead of out of spite.
Regarding the news post “Come hang out with me” where I made a public skype account to chat with you guys, I soon realized this was a mistake. I was getting unimaginably distracted and spoiling way more than I intended on that group, the group went from me teasing development pictures to explaining entire game mechanics, which has caused me to rethink NSaF 2’s mechanics.
About all the “Update blah blah blah” news posts, they were meant to be patch notes, which they were, but I developed a “The boy who Cried Wolf” effect, with comments like “I’m not playing this until he’s done updating the game. I’m sorry folks, that probably won’t happen for a long time, I’m always finding bugs, but the version that is out at this moment is extremely stable and my two bug reporters haven’t said anything to me about this new update. Even thought they haven’t reported bugs about this update, they know from me what is and what isn’t a bug, you guys don’t, so if you’re going to report bugs keep this in mind:
The Power Recharge Lever not working when an animatronic is at the doors is not a bug
The third star not being there when you beat hard mode in the Display Mode menu is not a bug, the real third star is hidden
The Prize Corner camera losing signal repeatedly when the puppet is leaving the prize corner is not a bug
Just some extra stuff I wanted to say
I received a comment from someone who either used Freddy Explorer or a decompiler to look at the source code of my game, which is fine, I don’t really mind decompiling or using Freddy Explorer on my game, but they told me they saw the drawing of Fang and stuff, I know most of you probably know this, but that was a joke, it doesn’t mean Fang will be in NSaF 2 and it doesn’t mean he’s important to NSaF: Remastered either.
While it is not illegal to use my textures I do not advise it unless you are making some kind of a spinoff game, like a simulator, because people would know it’s a spinoff of my game. If you want to use my textures for an unrelated game I’m not going to stop you unless you claim they are your textures, but I know even if I type this there will still be people reporting games that use my textures even if you credit me.
I’m done acting immature and I’m getting to work
