Scrapped but... i still kinda wish we did it.
Imagine having Withered Bonnie in place of Fredbear 2.0 or Foxy in place of Spring Bonnie 2.0. It wasnt JUST skins, they would have own deathscreens, sounds and overall ambience would change.

To be honest, there were plans time ago where we could have "Cameo" characters in TRTBN.
Something like a DLC "skins" that basically replace TRTBN characters for example with FNAF 2 or 1 cast.
Mangle replacing Fredbear 2.0 and ecc.
Withereds too.

IF this is true, Fortnite would just then use AI generated characters for their game. Thus allowing any company to do the same.
