It’s treated as a gag but it’s also a character flaw for him resulting in him being assaulted and abused so many times by the women around him but people labelling him as him being lucky or wanting this is kinda a reflection on how society treats men who have been sexually assaulted in a way (for me at least) and him in recent chapters of chainsaw man pushing yoru off of him and calling her out on coming onto him (in turn setting a boundary)and how it stops him from reflecting on the very traumatic things that has happened to him in his life makes him not only related to him but not in this context but in the context of never having time to reflect and just have a moment to think about the things that have happened he’s been assaulted so many times and people just labelling it as him being a sex pest in the manga and on the internet makes me upset because I think the times where he has been assaulted/abused get looked over because it was done by attractive women like makima or yoru and it’s actually kinda disgusting in a way

believe it or not Denji is a deep character when you think about it his hyper sexuality is glossed over a lot and just thought of him being a sexual deviant and people often forget that he is a minor and all the women in chapter one are adults (I typically don’t fully take in information while reading chainsaw man and it’s why video essays help and generally helped me gain a deeper understanding for the ways characters like Denji act)
