Just thought I’d write a new devlog while I’m waiting on the composer to finish up the last few songs for the soundtrack so I can remix them and put both versions into the game.
So, today’s bit of trivia is that the Quadratics aren’t actually robots. The Quadratics are data beings. Some sort of advanced future technology is used to bring them directly into the “real world”, not as robots, but as a strange, humanoid, physical form of the data they once were.
It’s complicated and weird, and it isn’t remotely realistic, but it’s a video game, and video game physics, well, they don’t have to make sense.
On the next episode of trivia time (if and when there is another episode for Quadratic Attack 3D), we’ll show you a still image of the newspaper at the end of the game to allow you to find all the hidden gags and jokes more easily. Who knows? We might even reveal an easter-egg or two. :)
