The story of this game doesn't have anything to do with other stories like Zalgo, X, Exetior, Exeller or anything related. Sonic's clone doesn't even have a name here, being refered as "???" in dialogue cutscenes. The only "X" present in the game is a cameo character.

It started as a college project, which consisted in developing a Halloween themed game.

Even if the game is the good ending of the Sonic.exe story, the name "Sonic - The Second Round" is not because of it. But rather, something Sonic says later in the game.

"Last Chance - Act 0" is the only stage the players can lose their lives. In the rest of the game, they are infinite.

When choosing Sonic in the Data Select screen, you can hear one of five reversed voice messages which plays randomly.

There won't be a sequel of this game, because there is no reason or way for the pink-eyed Sonic return. He is gone, FOREVER. The story ends here.

I'm writing the full game's story, telling what happened way before (a prologue of a prologue, I guess) and the current moments.

There was going to be a music theme for the Green Hill (Showdown) stage, but both me and ShidenGaster thought it was better to keep without it, to give some "uncanny" feeling.

Initially, after saving Tails, there was going to be a cutscene in which he sees Sonic and thinks it's his doppelganger. Similar to a scene in Dragon Ball Super, which Future Trunks sees Goku and mistakes him for Goku Black.

All voice clips were recorded by me, including the backwards messages and Sonic's "I'm outta here!".

Sonic Adventure was one of the inspirations for this game's story, since it involves the Chaos Emeralds' positive and negative energies.
