By injecting the right code of a Game Genie into a 1990 Prototype of Sonic 1, you get a secret boss fight, summoning a corrupted version of Sonic. The fight is similar to that of Metal's from Sonic CD, but instead of racing you, he CHASES you.
Fun Fact: none of the developers of Sonic 1 remember coding this boss 0_o
