*DISCLAMER - I don't have any experience with any other flight sim controller, so I will not be comparing it to anything else
The Yoke
The Pros
This yoke is amazing. The SIP is a really nice touch (it has saved me so much time), the way you hold the yoke feels natura, the controls are placed properly and overall feels amazing to use. Its incredibe for people on a budget, as its only about A$470 (for both throttle quadrant and yoke). That may sound expensive, but when compared to the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo controls (A$998 for both throttle and yoke) its insanely cheap.
The Cons and Ways To Improve
I never really used the the flight management display, mainly because there's no reason to use it. It would be really cool if they could add things like checklists, maps and comms. Also, before buying it, I noticed a few reviews talked about how sticky the yoke felt when pulling up or down, and it's very noticable. Turtle Beach has said that it should go away after about 20 hours of use, however for me it's still there, but nowhere near as bad as it was out of the box.
The Throttle Quadrant
The Pros
This is the main reason you should get the Turtle Beach VelocityOne. I absolutely love the throttle quadrant. The swappable throttle caps are such a nice touch, the programmable buttons are really useful, and the trim wheel is supprisingly good. Its so customisable and I love it.
The Cons and Ways To Improve
Despite the customisability, you have to spend lots of time setting up the throttle quadrant for each aircraft. The throttle levers feel quite slippery, not too slippery but slippery enough to where you can flick them and they'll move.
Conclusion
Overall, the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Universal Control System is an amazing flight sim setup, perfect for beginners. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.
