Hey there, this is the FIRST devlog for underengine, before we begin, I'd like to thank you all for the support I've gotten on this collaborative project so far, around 11~ downloads, and 5 followers! quite a bit for something brand new haha, I really do appreciate it <3 so... I figured I'd update y'all a little on the next major update- v8.0-beta-2 (still a bit away, but some systems HAVE been implemented!)
Let's start with dialogue, I recently added a "clear" tag that allows you to completely clear text boxes mid sentence, or even interrupt existing textboxes for comedic effect, see this example below

And as mentioned on the feature roadmap, underengine's built-in shop system has undergone a bit of an overhaul, not fully complete yet, but it's a VERY good start, basically restructured it to use well.. Structs! A data type that gives a LOT of flexibility, as we can even attach methods, and/or functions to it if we need! Once underengine v8.0-beta-2 drops, I'll release documentation for the shop system, including some practical examples. I also overhauled obj_shop and made it much, much cleaner, for the sake of not only readability, but maintainability, and user friendliness, the previous approach was.. messy, to say the least, and nigh impossible to customize with relative ease. In other words, the prior approach was not user friendly, at least not enough to my liking.

There's still some changes I would like to make, and some pretty clear bugs that need fixing (nothing major, and it's literally one part of the menu (that being the "Talk" menu) that's causing issues as of this present moment.
Anywho, that's all for now! I just thought it'd be nice to share what the next beta has in store, or at least the portion that's *actually* implemented!
